Season 6 promos broken?

So I played through my promos for this season like normal, and I ended up scoring 7 wins to 3 losses. After this the system put me in Bronze 5. This happened to another friend of mine who had, likewise, won 7 out of 10 games all with decent to good stats per game. I am not trying to complain because I am low rank, I mean I will take what I get, but does this add up? 70% win ratio, decent games, lowest rank in the league. Please help!

(p.s. similar game stats in the past put me in silver 3)

Why do people spam the boards with this? Challenger players get put into platinum. Diamond players get put into low platinum and gold. Platinum players get put into mid silver-low gold. Gold players get low-mid silver. Silver and bronze get put in bronze.

Basically you drop roughly a tier and a half. Now please stop these threads.

How would you like it if you won 7 out of 10 and got the lowest rank? That doesn't make sense

You weren't asking for a god damn opinion. You were asking for people to explain the system.

That's the fucking system. That's how it works.

As for liking it, I'm not a fan. I got put into silver 1 when I was mid plat last season.

But if Riot's going to put the pros in plat 1 all the way from challenger, I think I can suck up dropping a tier or two. You just happened to receive the short end of the stick cuz you were silver.
