Kalista Black Spear Passive Animation is too Long (and Kalista improvements)

So I've been playing Kalista for a while. And I love the champ, and I've come to learn all about those inconveniences about her. But the one I'd like to talk about is the Black Spear Animationitem 3599 . It takes like 12 seconds to complete immobilizing that champion. Not only that but you are not allowed to cast it until after 5 seconds into the game. Thus making your support (or whoever you cast it on) late. Now say your team wants to invade because you have a thresh Thresh or blitzcrankBlitzcrank . You are going to have to cast black spear on them anyway, unless you want to nerf yourself during the laning phase, so you do it at the beginning of the game and now they are late to the invade. Maybe the invade isn't ruined but, its possible the enemy team has already stacked 5 before your support is there making it a 4v5 and losing a kill.

So my question is why is the animation so long? It doesn't need to be that long to allow you to use a large part of kalista's kit (passive of W and R). My proposal is it should be lowered to 5 seconds or less. Meaning that casting it shouldn't take your our ally for a large chunk of game time.

Other things about kalista that could be improved upon maybe would be letting you know how much damage your rend is going to deal when you cast it would be nice. Or even something about how cho'gaths ultimate works, where it shows an animation around a player who will die to his ultimate if you cast it on them. I hate casting rend when it barely doesn't kill the enemy and now you don't have rend for the rest of the fight.

I don't know what are your thoughts. Are these just stupid ideas or a legit improvements that don't necessarily "buff" kalista?

They could also add extra ms after animation ends like kayn gets when he transforms. I’m not sure whether or not they should add an execute indicator to rend, but knowing how much damage it will does seem to needlessly increase her skill floor.

The idea of rend showing how much damage is nice but how would that work once you buy Runaan's Hurricane and spearing 3 champions at a time? Maybe something like how health bars work (where every 1000 HP has a divider), maybe every 5 spears turns into a bigger spear (thinks something like Roman Numerals)? Or some sort of gray health mechanic where the gray health bar grows the more spears you impale and once the bar is full, that's when you know to Rend? Would it be a terrible idea if every 5th spear

Also please explain why or why not if they are good or bad ideas.

They seem fine to me. I've only played kalista a handful of times, but if I could know how much damage my rend would do, I might have an incentive to learn how to play her better.

As a support main, I HATE when my Kalista Black Spears me right off the bat. I'll be trying to race to the invasion bush and drop a ward on it, and she'll put me so far behind that I needn't bother, because if they're invading then they've already passed through the bush. I didn't know there was a minimum time in which you can't use item 3599. Maybe if it was just a second longer I wouldn't get speared in the fountain where I literally can't avoid it.

Or Riot could just MAKE IT OPTIONAL AGAIN LIKE IT SHOULD BE.
