Is build diversity a good thing?

for example, : mostly viable in bot lane as a supp : mostly viable jg, but has been seen top/mid but not recommended

and so forth... what im trying to get at is, would there be less fighting in champ select if our favorite champs have more lanes to go to? if we want to play and supp is taken, what other lane can he go? now the player has to pick another champ, possibly one that he hasnt mained yet, to fill the lane, it just beocmes a terrible experience to be forced to play a lane with a champ that isnt viable in the first place.

should we re-balance a few things to make any champion be viable for most lanes? as an example: can top/mid/jg/and ADC, Quinn mains wouldnt worry about getting a lane since it's 4/5

ok first off to answer the quesiton yes build diversity is good. If you truly main thresh you would know he can be played top very easily as a tank or bruiser. Also stop limiting your self to 1 champion be flexible and learn new things or else this game will not be fun for you. Which in your post i already get that you are not havging fun when you have to go to another lane.

I really don't get the question if you main a champion it can be played in at least 2 places. I can't even think of a champion that can only be played in one place and one place only it would be better if you gave me a list of champions and i'll tell you where they can be played. But it will still depend on match ups and play styles.
