A Brand ult idea

I like playing Brand because his concept is really cool, but there's something that annoy me about him: the unreliability of his ult. Brand's ult deals 150 / 250 / 350 (+ 50% AP) per bounce. If you can make it bounce 5 times it will deal 450 / 750 / 1050 (+ 150% AP) only to a single target, which is super strong, but if you can't, you will do only 150 / 250 / 350 (+ 50% AP), which is pretty sad. I wonder if there's a way to increase the damage on the first hit, keeping his maximum damage as it is now. The objective is to reward Brand when he can land his ultimade correctly, but also help Brand when he has nothing to bounce on, for example in the river or in the jungle. Maybe the solution could be increase his base damage but make each bounce deals a less % of the base bounce damage. I don't know if you undestood ^_^ However I'm not sure if it's mathematically possible.

How would it be mathematically impossible? Things like Kats Q do it.

I like the idea of having some sort of damage increase for a single target. I play Brand a lot, but he is really focused on teamfighting. That is where his strengths are and where he really shines. A good Brand player will make things work well in a 1v1 (like bouncing an ult off a minion) or using his ult against a LB that just had her passive pop making the ult bounce back and forth between the clone and the real one.

But overall, I would say I am pretty ok with his 1v1 not being as good as his teamfighting. I kind of see it as "pick one of these two for Brand to be good at".

I like it how it is now. I play almost exclusively Brand (check my match history). He has so much damage on QW and E that many times he doesn't need R for 1v1 situations. I like the possibility of a team fight breaking out and the ability to Q, E, W, R for massive AOE damage. His R is primarily used for just that...dealing damage to an entire team.
