Now that they've released the Galio rework which makes Malphite an even more useless champion what do you think they'll do for him?

I want malphite to still be that ap bursting machine so i would love to see him as a ap-tank

But the issue with that is that's exactly what Galio is I mean if they changed the Malph enough to make ap on him an actual viable build (yes I know people play it, it's not worth it its sub standard at best) I mean it may be as easy as just buffing his ap ratios a little because as much damage as his ult does on full ap it still has a 100 second cd (without cd reduction) and his other abilities just don't seem to be worth much.

One claim has never triggered me more. AP Malphite is, dare I say, one of the most damagey champions in the game. I got level 7 Malphite of off only full AP. Tank is great and all, but with his passive he is already naturally tanky, and his ult helps him penetrate the back line like crazy and one shot all the squishies in fights! His AP scalings are ridiculous and over the dozens, maybe over 100 game i've played as AP Malphite, I've only lost several lanes. It is just stupidly good. And for the CDR, Morellonomicon, Ionian boots (Sorc shoes not needed for op dmg), and Zhonyas (because he has armor scaling). This is 40% CDR, not counting other CDR items that you may have, making Ionian boots usually not needed!

I just want Malphite to actually be big. I think several champions Riot should really play into their sheer size/scale; at least from a visual perspective. I want to see champions like Chogath and Malphite really come off with a sort Lovecraftian horror when you see them stomping into lane.

How is Malphite useless? He's still incredibly strong, even when building tank. These games got me back into Plat 1 promos, and they were against Cassio and Heimerdinger, two champions that should counter him easily:

Malphite is great if you know how and when to trade. Are you saying Galio's ult is a better version of Malphites? Because Malphite has probably the best engage in the entire game.

Not to mention Malphite has some of the most underrated waveclear in the game after he gets 1-2 items, and can make nearly any AA-based champion useless in teamfights with his Q and E.
