Duo with 2 people with different MMR

I'm currently in Bronze 4, and my friend is doing his placements. He currently has about 1280 MMR, or Silver 4, according to op.gg. If he queues with me, will his MMR drop?

you will be placed into a game with higher ranked players

If you lose he will lose more MMR than you. If you win he will earn less MMR than you.

all based on w/l and what side you guys are on when you win and lose. The other team could have a higher mmr average

So if we win, will my friend lose MMR as a result of playing with lower elo players?
