I'm currently in Bronze 4, and my friend is doing his placements. He currently has about 1280 MMR, or Silver 4, according to op.gg. If he queues with me, will his MMR drop?

If you lose matches, you'll be hit less and he'll be hit more because the opponents will be more skilled than you and less skilled than him. You will also win more and he will win less.
