As an Ekko main, he should get a look at in the upcoming rework

I've played alot of games as Ekko, just recently got Mas 6, but I think the gimmick that should make Ekko an interesting and unique champ has been lost. I had read a similar post talking about why Ekko fails as a champ, which at this point (after thinking about it) I kind of agree with.

I don't think Ekko's kit itself should be edited, besides his passive. He is a Utility Assassin, and I think that at the moment is fine. What should change, first, are his cooldowns, especially on his gap closing E and his Q. These both are good at trading early, which, again, is fine, but mid - late game, it is just so... aggravating. Combined with the passive that needs a nerf imo, it is just a hassle to deal with it, especially if they go tank. Increasing the cooldown makes using these skills matter a bit more.

Oh right, his gimmick. Ekko's thing, if you will, is a matter of making every second count. With the low cooldowns and his ult, however, I don't think it is the case anymore. Anyone who picks up Ekko can literally build a item 3025 and/or a item 3068 and make all-ins look easy. Combine that with low cooldowns (see the trend?) and Ekko has been watered down to a champ that can just be reckless with no punishment. I don't believe that is what Riot intended him to be.

His passive is a major annoyance to any enemy champion as well. The movement speed should get a slight reduction, but what should get a look at is the time between when an enemy champ can be targeted. I'm pretty sure it's...5? seconds. In lane early, this isn't that big a deal, but mid-late, yeah, no it's a bit unfair.

The last thing I think is that Ekko should be made a bit squishier. Once again, I believe this will make Ekko a champion that needs more planning. Similar to how LB has high mobility and high damage, but if she messes her combo and is caught is highly punished for it. I think that is what needs to happen to Ekko.

Overall I just want Ekko how he should be, a champion that is based on planning ahead, and making every move you make essential to whether you live or die. It is why I liked him when I first played this game, and I don't want him to just become another freelo.

Any thoughts? Agree? Disagree? Discuss pls, I like talking.

You're right now it's just Triforce rush ekko that 1 shots you and runs away with 500+ movespeed

Maybe triforce needs to be pulled back a bit.

If you're implying nerfing triforce thats pretty much a nerf to everyone who uses it and if they were weak even with the tri force they're gonna be even weaker with a triforce nerf

Who is weak with triforce but needs to build it?

So I think his biggest issue is the fact Tankko took over the meta for a while. Ekko is my secondary champ, usually full ap, and I think the way he is designed is well done from the stand point of full ap assassin builds. I don't think he based stats make him too tanky, there are times when enough cc will stop him and kill him. I've always like his design of thinking ahead, playing alot of kha'zix I tend to do the same thing, but I agree with tank theres no need to plan you just go in and stick to people. I don't think its his kit that causes him to be so strong as a tank, sure he has some hard cc and stickiness with passive but hear me out. I don't think nerfing ekko's CD is necessary, he's gotten changed a lot and I think he's quite healthy at the moment, what does make his cd strong is how easy it is to build it on Tankko.

You've got items that work well on him like item 3025 or item 3065 on him and boom 30% CD already, get a item 3001 or item 3083 and theres 40% or just have blue buff or on runes and you'll be good to go. This dilemma would also explain why tank yasuo or fizz have been complained about. I don't think its ekko's kit that is too good as a tank I think its just gives him the tools to make him the monster he was.
