Has anyone made it to challenger by one tricking supports?

I know it's a bit of a stretch seeing how I'm only mid plat, but I've been one tricking top since i started this account (mid season) I spent most of my time findin my favourites, then climbin to where i was (main poppy,urgot added taric to it for season 7) I finished plat 2 but dropped and took some time off and b the time I came back the season was endin early so I left it there. but I like to one trick a lane and I don't enjoy big champ pools, but I just want to know whether it's possible to reach that high in a supporting role. Here's to another season and praying I make it to diamond :p

I would assume so.

AFAIK, climbing as a support becomes increasingly viable in higher ELOs since your allies are more competent and better able to follow up on the vision and utility you provide.

It's definitely possible, and I saw elsewhere in here you mentioned you play a lot of Taric, and taric is a pretty good champion due to his versatility, and his ult, as cliche as it is to say, is quite game changing. Getting good at Taric specifically can definitely take you pretty far.

I'm not positive how one tricking works with regards to support, I typically see it in other lanes, but I feel like it would probably work the same.
