Not ending the game to BM in ranked should warrant a temp ban.
So, I just came from a game where we were an early game team comp that was sieging the enemy base in a winning scenario. We had only one tower left, enemy respawn timers were coming back up, and we could have had a win on our records if we hit towers. Rather than doing the sensible thing and assisting the team in breaking the game OBJECTIVES, our Ezreal decided to sit back and watch us hit the towers, instead opting to emote spam at the enemy team. Low and behold, the enemy team respawned, we got aced, and seeing as they got a ton of shutdown gold on a late game team comp, we lost. They would have never been able to gain all that gold for use if we had ENDED, but our Ezreal decided that bming was more important than the outcome of a plat ranked game.
Yes, I know it's preseason. Yes, I know the report system is flawed as is. Yes, I know it's it's just one game-- but it's not.
It's not one game.
Time and time again, I've seen players throw games that were hard-earned victories by not hitting the objectives that end the game, instead choosing to troll. Whether it be running into fountain for last kills, getting more farm to bm, emote spamming, or waiting for the enemy respawns so they can have a 'last fight,' these players knowingly queue up for ranked without the mentality for it. Please, please bring back a system like the tribunal, as a bot system of reports truly doesn't catch cases like these; common cases.
Players who don't have the mentality to take ranked games seriously should be temporarily booted from the ranked queue, where they can play normals. By no means am I saying that normals aren't serious, but they do indeed have less consequences for those who are trying to climb and improve.
That's all I have. I needed to vent; to rant. On the off chance that some change is made to punish these players, I look forward to it. Thank you.
