His kit was more healthy pre-rework, 6.19 is not going to effect pro play until next year, 6.18 was the worlds patch
It kinda sucks, Kog'maw has basicaly been watered down so much that you could just rename him generic ADC #4.....
At times like this, lets go back to his story to find a identity for Kog'maw.
Kog'maw was one of the first creatures of the void that Malzahar meet. Kog's lore says he has a connection to Malzahar. Kog'maw is enchanted by all the sights and aromas of Runeterra, and that means he has to eat everything. Dispite eating so much, Kog'Maw's appetite has not been satiated yet.
One thing that has always bothered me is that Kog'maw's gameplay seems disconnected from his lore. Why does a void critter that just wants to eat stuff and enjoy the flavors become a marksman that does artillery bombardments, or machine gun acid blasts?
If any champ could use a total rework Kogmaw is one IMO.
