Ranked Placements

So apparently after placements you CAN end up higher than you did last year depending on your MMR and your performance through the placements. I have never really focused on ranked. Last season I didn't have much time for League because of various life stuff so I was Bronze II, but I got placed in Silver V upon finishing my placements last night. Just thought it was kinda neat.
