Can we seriously discuss Draven?

First item according to op.gg is still BT, but I am seeing DD first every other game. I used to be able to handle him fine with Caitlyn, but now is early damage and sustain is so oppressive, I can no longer poke him out of lane. All he does is continue to farm and then wham, he hits you with a few shots and you have to back, or die. Caitlyn used to be my only answer to him at bot, and now he seems untouchable. It's getting ridiculous. Almost 56% ban rate approaching 53% win rate across all ranks.

It's not Draven being OP. It's DD being an item literally made for him.

Death's Dance is an expensive item so there is no way he is cheesing you with it in lane unless you are already feeding him.

Draven has not been touched for a long time, and has had nothing buffed to his early game or laning phase at all for over 13 patch cycles. Caitlyn is strong as hell compared to Draven and can zone him off catching axes and adoration stacks so easily during his early game. If you die a few times expect him to come back with a full death's dance though, he is a snowball champion that is how his passive works.

Well he bought a full lifesteal item, if he not supposed to sustain past your poke? If he has a full DD what do you have?

imo, DD needs to cost more gold. It's 200 cheaper than bt, and that is just dumb. Draven is annoying, and he always has been. But he hadn't been retarded until they buffed the cock off of DD. The fact that is easier to access than BT (for the same amount of damage) is, in part, why Draven's are rushing it.

Draven is the only ADC with some counterplay, because when you CC him and chase him, so he can't axes, he loses his damage and becomes worse than any other ADC in terms of DPS. His biggest counters are full tank Maokai (perma CC on top of you and you can catch axes) and adc Varus. His lategame is also not great. I've been playing the game since season 4 and Draven feels like tone of the few balanced ADC with a way to avoid his dmg. The other one is Ezrael. He is annoying only when you feed him, but feeding any other ADC will also result in a loss.

the thing is (as far as draven himself goes, DD aside) draven is designed to be the anti-adc adc, he's supposed to beat other adc's in raw fights. the decider really is the rest of your team, particularly support and jungle, as well as theirs. im not trying to say that he is or isnt toxic atm or that he does or doesnt need attention, im just saying a lot of people seem to complain that he beats almost all other adc's generally speaking but that's what he's designed to do in raw fights.

I'd like to see DD become a tank item over raw damage. lower ad by a lot, add some hp. Probably not a good idea, but I've always pictured DD as a defensive sustain item over an anti-burst sustain item.
