Primary account hard stuck in bronze, this account made Silver 3

Just wanted to add to the ongoing discussion about the problems with "ELO Hell."

I have been playing league since 2011 off an on. Took a small break over 2012-14 the back at it again mid 2014 season. I have often come close to getting out, made it to B1 several times and then slid back to B5 again. I have put in time for improvement. Am I a great player? No. Am I better than Bronze? Clearly proven.

My point is, I have actual proof that refutes the discussion that if you are stuck in bronze, you belong there. If I made it to Silver 3 on this fresh account (I went 5-5 although I performed horribly in one win, amazing in a loss, and only one game with a couple really bad feeding from teammates) then clearly I have given reason to support that I am at least that level of a player. Then my main who is stuck on bronze should be able to get out if skill alone were the driving factor. It is not.

If I am unable to get out and into gold, and assuming it is not the same issues that I have had in bronze, then chances are I am a silver level player. So my concern is next season, where placements will drop you an entire rank and I am back in bronze unable to get out again. So I will essentially have to create a new account each season in order to get placed in my skill level. The argument that high rank players (plat and diamond smurfs) can easily get out of bronze is irrelevant. Those guys are on a different level and they deserve their due. But players should not have to be platinum + to get to silver. There is clearly a problem with Bronze specifically that prevents decent players from climbing out.

Placements mean nothing. You need a larger sample size to truly figure out where a person's skill level is. I have played over 450 ranked games this season and in Gold III. Therefore I am fairly confident that my deserved elo currently is in the range of 1500-1700 (people move up and down like a yoyo depending on performance, tilting and other factors like luck. I started off in Bronze 2 or Bronze 1. Granted I am a one trick which helps a little.

To put it simply, you care too much about losing and don't play enough ranked games, infact nowhere near enough. Stop giving a shit about the outcome and start worrying about specifics to your champion and role.

For example, I main Rengar, so this is what I have done to improve my play.

Mechanics

Granted these are very specific and some of these have been removed but you get the idea, I have taken the time to know the tricks and wonders of the champ. Blast cone interaction with Rengar Q, Q jump distance, Rengar rework combo's. Ward over wall hop (near red buff), Auto+Q animation cancel, double hit from gromp W heal (its possible to be hit twice by hit and heal both hits, most rengars will W after 1 hit).

Map awareness

I made a conscious effort to improve my map awareness by checking it after every camp. Then I made an effort to check it both after the camp, and once during the middle of it. LEAVE your camp if you see jungler ganking a nearby lane and counter-gank.

Playstyle

I developed my own playstyle of using warding jungle item (warrior) and taking sweeping lense and camping enemy jungle mid and lategame, most people take red smite, I take green for vision and vision denial with scanner so I can make picks without using R, telling everyone where I am.

Situational Awareness

Enemy is ganked bot, killed them both but you wont make it on time to do anything? Take his camps, Gank mid or top. Take Rift Herald. Depending on gametime, pick one. Later the game > Herald, Early game >Camp or Gank. I need to react and do something on the map whenever the enemy jungler does something, even if its small. it's called damage mitigation.

3 Man drake and your botlane is dead? Take Rift herald.

Enemy going for Elder drake and you are too late, try Baron?

You can go 2-8 in placements and get silver, the only thing you've shown is that it is far too easy to be placed in silver.

New accounts MMR starts at silver3/4 so all you've proven is that. I bet if you play on this acct long enough you will get it to bronze. You saying you're better than bronze whne you're hard stuck there is probably why you're still bronze.

Admit that you're bad and improve! Admittedly I think I'm a terrible plat player and probably actually gold 1 but got lucky

Placements mean nothing. It's pretty hard for a fresh new account to be placed in bronze. Like, really hard. Win like 2 games and you're in silver. The test of whether or not you belong is how quickly you slide back down to silver 5.

lol I placed silver 4 long before I could ever hold my own in bronze 5.

This is why I fuckin hate Riot's placement system. If you can't get out of Bronze, then you have no business whatsoever in Silver. I'm not even that good at the game, being hardstuck Silver and even I can NEVER EVER get stuck in Bronze. I've climbed out of Bronze multiple times with relative easy. My friend, I don't say this to be a dick but simply to tell you the truth, you do not belong in Silver. The placement system has no business putting you at that rank. And this is part of the reason why Silver is so extremely unpleasant to play in. So often we end up with team mates who clearly belong in Bronze 5 but because of the placement system, they end up in my games feeding their assess off.

To to anyone who says Bronze and Silver is the same. That's total bullshit. I've played back to back games in both low Bronze and low Silver using different accounts and I can tell you, there is a huge difference between a Bronze 5 player and a Silver 5 player. Silver players aren't good but they know and understand all the fundamentals. Silver players also have decent mechanics. Bronze players on the other hand don't know anything really. They have no understanding of the fundamentals and they have very horrible mechanics. Bronze players are barely a step up from low level players who are new to the game. That's the harsh truth. Anyone with a solid understanding of the fundamentals of this game can get out of Bronze and I mean anyone.

Also, I did not see one game worthy of an S rating 5/0/16, 8/2/19 etc....Nunu is not a HARD carry, he relies on his team to do damage when he catches someone out. Consider a different champion, if you struggle with Nunu?

None of this advice that anyone is going to give you will make you feel good, because you are in the lowest tier of players this game has to offer. Which means you have LOADS more to practice and get good at. Accept you suck at the game and stop acting like an entitled bell end when you are being given advice.

I'll look forward to updates. I would like to see if you stay where you are, climb, or get demoted. I think it might be true that Silver players could get stuck in Bronze (it's very easy to become unable to climb around 1 division lower than you think you are), so keep us in the loop as you continue your journey. You might even reach Gold, so keep working on it!

(I will say that, without having access to replays, your KDA seems a bit low, but your jungle objective control and your warding seem good, so probably work on just not dying as much. I know a lot of players say kills don't matter, but having a 20-30 second death timer means they have 20-30 seconds of easier objective control, which does matter.)

Make a thread again once you have at least 50-100 games on that account. 11 games is far too low of a representation of your skill. Since the skill levels are so close together from Bronze 3 to Silver 3, calling you silver is like calling someone that played and won only 1 Poker turnament a Poker god. Fact is that there is no elo hell, and over the course of many hundreds of games you will eventually get an accurate representation of how well you performed up until that point, just like in Poker.
