Cleanse (and QSS) don't affect displacement effects (i.e. knock-ups or knock-backs).
Displacements are, indeed, a special type of crowd control, which can't be fully cleansed. I'm not sure whether the summoner spell can do this, but with a QSS you can use it on a displacement to allow you to flash out of the way of follow-up, but you'll still be otherwise unable to act until the displacement ends.
tl;dr: It's not just Yasuo, it's all displacements.
