As a lee sin jungler, should I give kills away or take what I can secure?

So I was in game and ganked top 3 times and got 3 kills within 15 minutes. The first two ganks, my laner died. The last gank he was around 150 health so I took the kill to secure him staying alive. He started to yell at me telling me not to come top anymore because I got the kills. Then the mid laner chimed in and said I shouldn't be jungling because I didnt "give" him all of the kills. And then at the end of the game he messages me and points out that I didnt have as much damage as the top laner. My argument for that is im not in contant trades with an enemy champion because I'm not in a lane. Opinions?

Secure when you need to, give away when possible.

This applies to almost all of the jung besides the carrying type.

I feel as if a lee sin is a carrying type. Wouldn't you want a lee to get fed early game?

Generally speaking you don't want to be taking many kills as Lee Sin, or any jungler - if you aren't decent at your champion/role. Take the kills if it means your laner survives, take the kills if your laner has died, don't take the kills if your laner has flashed/ignited to finish a kill, don't take kills if it is obvious your laner can get it.

It becomes a different matter if your laner is a for example, a Vayne top who has a 35% win rate and averages 6/10/2 , out of 6 games. In that scenario you probably want the kills. If you notice they're already doing badly (40-50 cs by 10 minutes) definitely take it, if they're doing fine 40 cs 5:30 give them the kills and ward their lane with sightstone, make sure you can do whatever possible to prevent them from feeding.

Give away the kills is the correct answer. As a jungler, it's your job to get your lanes fed. If you take the kills, you will be strong, but the other 80% of your team will not be. It's hard to win 1v5 vs any any team. You can survive better on the assist gold than the laners can.

If it's a close match up, you will benefit more for giving your laner the kill, if he is getting stomped, its better that you take it as it will help YOU help other lanes. Not to mention, if he is already getting his ass kicked, giving him some kind of kill bounty in a lane where he is already losing is just going to add to the enemies power.

Check the CS scores if its your guy 13 CS to his 40, take it. If its like 40 your guy 45 him, try to give it to your ally. Just because you as a jungler get fed, doesn't mean you are hurting ur team by not giving them kills, you get stronger which makes your ganks that much more potent.

Also if its Assassin vs Assassin lane, try to give it to your assassin, he can generally snowball and help with ganks.
