How I see the Veigar changes.

Okay. I have been seeing a lot of people complaining about the new Veigar changes, but, as a Veigar main, I actually like them, as I played them on PBE.

People were angry over his ult losing .2 on it's scaling, but that had to happen because his Q can now get twice as many stacks giving him hundreds more AP. Not to mention you can also now harass in lane by hitting them with Q's through the minions you stack.

I do agree that the new 0.75 delay on stun is annoying at times and is hard to use as an engage, but I feel that just seperates good Veigars from bad.

The only thing I would like to see updated in these changes would be one of two things.

  1. Up the range on stun slightly to make it more reliable.

Or 2. Decrease the delay on W VERY slightly.

Well that's my two cents as a main who played the update.

or 3: Increase the damage/ratio of W.

Why not add a small knockback to his W, something enough to knock enemies into the wall of his E if they get caught in the middle?

The problem with the changes as far as I'm concerned is that they turn Veigar into an incarnation of rock paper scissors. If he fights an immobile mage, he'll win. If he fights a mobile mid laner, he'll lose. Mid lane's fate should not be decided at picks and bans. E needed a change, but now if you hit with it, it'll be because the other person failed to dodge it, not because you managed to hit with it. See how that matters? It gives counterplay, but it doesn't separate good Veigars from bad as you seem to think it does. It should. But it doesn't.
