Honestly, I'd recommend getting as many rune pages as you can while the BOGO sale exists. The only come about rarely and the added versatility is fantastic.
While I'm not sure what exact runes you have available, I believe that the following pages would be good options.
Page 1 (Garen/Yorick/J4 Basic):
- Quints: Attack Damage
- Marks: Attack Damage
- Seals: Flat Armor
- Glyphs: Scaling MR
Fairly standard AD page, not much to explain here.
Page 2 (Mage vs AP)
- Quints: AP
- Marks: Magic Pen
- Seals: Scaling Health
- Glyphs: Flat MR
Fairly standard AP page, not much to explain here.
Page 3 (Mage vs AD)
- Quints: AP
- Marks: Magic Pen
- Seals: Flat (or Scaling) Armor
- Glyphs: Scaling CDR
I find this page to be rather useful against AD champions in the mid-lane. Early armor is rather useful for surviving the laning phase (both against their damage and minions).
I prefer Scaling CDR Glyphs (and optionally one Quint) in this scenario since it lets me adjust my itemization away from CDR items. Seeker's Armguard -> Zhonya's Hourglass tends to be rather important against AD mid-laners, so I only need 10% CDR from another item (i.e. Ionian Boots, Lich Bane) to be capped out.
An easy way to survive those match-ups would be the following setup:
+
-> Normal Build
Page 4 (Tank Supports)
- Quints: Flat Armor
- Marks: Flat Armor
- Seals: Scaling Health
- Glyphs: Flat or Scaling MR
Standard page focusing on pure survivability.
Page 5 (Specialized: Soraka)
- Quints: Flat AP
- Marks: Flat Armor
- Seals: Scaling Health Regen
- Glyphs: Flat AP
While it probably isn't common any more, this used to be a good page for Soraka.
Flat AP Quints and Glyphs are useful for sustain in the early-game, letting you harass and trade with opponents using your Q and healing yourselves up. The regeneration provided by her Q has a 40% AP ratio (30% to 50% for allies) and her heal has a 60% ratio.
Scaling Health Regeneration Seals are rather nice for sustain throughout the game and during sieges. Even if you can't safely walk up to harass opponents with Q, you will still have a significant amount of passive regeneration.
