Tahm Kench Balance Suggestions

First off, just want to say I really like Tahm Kench's design, and his gameplay. I feel there are a few things that make him just a little unfair that could use a nerf, and something that could use a solid buff. So.

Q - Leave it. Love it.

W - Currently I feel like Devour is prioritizing allied champions when in battle. I put three stacks on an enemy we're fighting, I try to eat them. But instead I end up gobbling up the nearby AD melee champ because for some reason the game thinks it is better to eat allies than enemies. And now we lose the fight because we just loss significant DPS with no advantage.

I also feel like the ability to just completely nullify an enemy ult because you ate their target is pretty unfair. The target isn't dead, just moved. So what I'd suggest is this.

Devour - Now prioritizes allies and enemies to be devoured equality, depending on which one the cursor is closer too. However, it will prioritize both enemy and allied champions over minions.

Devoured champions take damage EQUAL to 10% of the damage Tahm Kench takes AFTER it is reduced by armor or magic resist. Enemy or ally.

Ultimates that were targeting a devoured champion now switch their targets to Tahm Kench.

This is both a buff and nerf. Instead of negating 100% of damage that might have hit the devoured champion, you let some pass through. Making it better for offensive because now the enemy team has to make a choice, hit you while doing ten percent of that damage to their ally, or switch targets.

E - Here is where the previous buff/nerf will get interesting. Because this ability has felt off since he released. It doesn't bring a lot to the table in terms of his gameplay. So I decided to try to make something more fitting for this skill. I REALLY like the grey bar, it just could use some sprucing up.

Thick Skin - New Utility - Thick Skin now also shields allied champions who are devoured.

New Acquired Taste Effect - If Tahm has three stacks of Acquired Taste on an enemy champion, he gains 1%/1.5/2% of his current Grey Bar as health (and mana?) any time he deals damage to that champion.

This will help him a lot in top lane where maybe you will now have to choose whether or not to hit a few more times before devouring your enemy. It becomes a serious option to play him as an AD Tank champion as well with this sort of utility attached on.

R - Just a slight change for one really frustrating aspect. Really any change to make this not feel as awful as it does would be wonderful.

Abyssal Voyage - Now instantly teleports if there is no allied champion within 2000 Range.

Abyssal Voyage cannot be interrupted by minions.

Anyway. These are just suggestions. Mostly I WANT to see an Acquired Taste effect on Tahm's E. I don't like that his passive only has effects for two of his abilities. It makes him feel off.

U know the whole point of him having the devouror was to give ad champs a "hourglass" I feel like it should be a longer cooldown though

I also don't really think his W should be doing quite so much damage...come to think of it, his damage is a bit high across the board. Someone like Kench who makes his adc very safe, has very hard cc, and an ult with global presence (all on top of being absurdly tanky) shouldn't be hitting as hard as a bruiser.

This is more of an issue with the way that Riot designs tanks in general (doing damage without building for it) but it's especially blatant on Kench because of his ability to get stacking damage on autos by building HP.

There, I'm done ranting now
