poppy definitely did needs nerfs, riot was right. but even as someone who HATES seeing poppy as she counters almost EVERY champ i play. i am goign to have to admit.. they really did go a bit overboard on the nerfs. and even as someone who HATES poppy, i cant deny that she does need some of the nerfs reverted... NOT all of them.. but some..
I feel like they gutted her because she was too good at the job she was meant for. = Shutting down those high mobility champs.
Riot loves the flashy dashing champs and poppy was a direct counter
I read somewhere that meddler pointed out Gnar is meant to hard counter juggernaut champs but when Poppy is meant to counter skirmishers they can't let her be that effective for some reason lol. Its really kinda bogus.

I think she's pretty good. Had ~60% winrate with her before the buffs, now it can only be better.

I really wanna see more poppy being played. Game doesn't feel right with certain champs not being as viable.
New Poppy is the most useless champ in lol.
Literally end game is like 4vs 5, carries just should avoid walls.

People play her as an engage fighter instead of peel bot.
Being a peel bot requires more coordination.
Poppy is and always has been good since her rework, she's just lack luster in solo queue because she is used as a fighter with low damage. Maybe some more damage buffs, but that'll just put her back into top tier, especially in competitive League where it's more coordinated.
Well, it was obvious that this buff goes nowhere(though i do find her to be perfectly viable even befor the buffs).
Buffing her passive shield value in the late for "... improving her ability to thrive in the close-quarters fracas she creates." was just pointless, as her main issue is not that her shield is to weak when she gets it, but that it's incredible unlikely for her to reach it befor it gets destroyed seeing that she has no constant mobillity and her E is not usabale fot that as she wouls push an enemie onto the shield thus destroying it befor she reaches it herself. A higher value on the shield changes nothing if you can't get the shield in he first palce.
If they want poppys passive to do anything in close quater fights, they need to change it so opponents have to stay on it for some time(like 0.5sec) and maybe grant it a 1sec imunity right after dropping, It happens frustraitingly often that it drops right into the path of an opponent and gets instantly deleted.
Another issue is how painfully slow her passive-AA-animation is, it needs alot longer to perform than her normal AAs, and as a result i very often cancel the entire attack rather than just the backswing as it needs a different timeing than her normal AAs. They should normalize that speed, and ideally overall speed it up. Just giving her bonus As for that passive hit, just how taric gets bonus as for his (not only the second followup, but also the first) might solve the issue aswell.
With thos mostly QoL changes, poppy would already be alot better.
They didn't wait and see how people counter and play around her and just automatically nerfed Poppy into the ground. I Have not seen Poppy played in any game (normal and ranked both in my games and diamond - challenger). Honestly they might as well not of reworked her at all. She's probably played less now then she was pre-rework.
