Yasuo counterplay?

Other than the obvious, yasuo lacks counter-play once he hits level 6 as any immobile champion. I do not understand how he is anything balanced because he seems to never lose lane and snowballs the entire game, every game.

How am I supposed to be able to at least not feed him as an immobile mid laner (Varus) and not fall super behind in cs? I am having trouble because whenever he wants to kill me, he dashes through minions stacking his Q on the way to me, then does the e-q combo (impossible to dodge that knock up). Not to mention, since he builds crit items he has the movespeed from boot and crit items to make it impossible to run away from him if he engages.

What should I be doing to not lose to this imba champ ever game I face him as Varus?

Alright, if you're Varus, just punch him in the face. A lot. Yasuo is a very strong champion because he wins almost 100% of the fights that HE picks, so don't let him pick those fights. He has a really low base armor and health regeneration, so once you pop his shield you just keep punching him. Don't let him choose his own battles, pick them yourself. If he wind walls, wait it out, and start punching him again. Get him low enough that he won't WANT to dive directly on you (he still will; you're Varus). And remember to do your face punching near max auto attack range, to make it harder for Yasuo to dive you when he wants to.

This guy knows what he is talking about. Varus does so much damage early game against most champs it's insane sometimes.

Key word is most though.

Yeah generally against Yasuo you're going to want to play fairly conservatively early game. One thing that Yasuos do frequently is push, so ask your jungler for help because Yasuo is an easy gank. Late game he will usually get strong, but as Varus you should have an easy time locking him down. Varus isn't exactly well off in this meta, especially in mid lane, but you should still be able to beat him if you let him make his own mistakes.

if you can't beat him, don't try, don't be greedy. turn it into a farm lane. 15 cs is equal to one kill.

Yasuo's lack of counter play comes at lvl 3, not 6. Riot really needs to tie at least one part of his passive to windwall and then change his E to where it gets the short cooldown as long as he keeps using it, but then goes on a long cooldown after he stops using it for 2 seconds or so. It's utterly ridiculous that he always has his dash up to engage, disengage, and dodge whenever he wants. And once you add that .5 sec CD disengage/dodge to his windwall and built in shield, counterplay is a freaking joke.
