Ah to be young and naive enough to think league is fun. There's 2 kinds of people that play this game: Addicts that hate it or new players that like the genre and character of the game but have no idea how much of a clusterfk riot actually is.

Silver can be a pretty toxic elo no doubt but if you stay positive and keep having fun and trying to improve you honestly will continue to rank up as well. It really just depends on how much you care about rank or just like having fun for shits and giggles. I have played the game since season 1 and still enjoy it a lot. But for me I decided to just play many games without really tyring to improve, granted I can play most roels at about the same level and know how to play a good number of champs (at least at like a low elo level i.e gold or so). But I was first stuck silver from like season 3 to well end of 5. I would spam games and bitch about how bad my teammates were but never really tried to improve, which is why I was stuck. Then I got a little better, focused more on myself and got to like gold 2 next season. Which is pretty much where I been chilling at 3-4 years as I didn't really care about ranking up. Now this season I have pretty close to plat (been hovering in gold 1 awhile now just waiting for that win streak!). But I have actually been trying really hard every game and been trying to improve and sticking to what I am best at instead of swapping roles and champions all the time.

Basically what I am saying is have fun your way. If you do find joy in ranking up then continue to do it! But you have to focus on yourself and improving to do it. But honestly once you do the game also gets pretty fun like when you learn more about the game overall you can pick up other champions quicker. Then go into norms and generally do really well even if you playing shit you don't know because you just have better game knowledge than people who don't try to rank up. Idk.... do what makes you happy but you were just saying how much you liked ranking up so figured I would let you know you can definitely climb much higher! But if you going to do it I would suggest continuing to focus on yourself and improve so you climb higher instead of getting stuck forever like me lol. But if you decide you rather just focus on other roles and champs because you having more fun that way then that's fine too. Do what feels right!

As someone who's been playing since the beginning, I don't feel the same way. Obviously League is marketed towards a different audience now and it's clear that there's a disconnect between fans of old League and new League, but that being said I am glad you're having fun with the game and I wish you continue to enjoy the game.
