Gold promos as a support

Today is the second time I have gotten to my gold promos and I get and understand that that isn't that impressive of a feat but I've worked my way up to gold trying to climb out of bronze elo and out of silver elo and doing it as a support is pretty difficult seeing as you're there to support your adc. Some times you get a good adc, sometimes you get an adc that is at your skill level, better than your skill, and other time's you get one that is way below. I understand that people have their off days, maybe they don't play as well some days. But I have to ask the question, why is it the last few time's I get to my gold promos, or I'm silver 1 trying to climb to the promos. Do I get matched with some idiot brain dead adc who isn't ranked, has played 2 or less ranked games, has a 0-5 win ratio on the adc champ they have chosen to play, doesn't actually play adc at all, and completely throws the game and causes a massive shit storm bot lane.

Why in the hell are unranked players in fucking silver 1/gold elo fucking up our games and causing us to lose LP. There should be some sort of standard or requirement to get to play ranked before you can completely ruin your teams game and make them lose LP for being such a terrible player
