Ignite's properties are the dumbest design.

Why is ignite designed this way? This happens to me multiple times a week and it's the most frustrating thing ever. It seems to be the only spell in the game that you have to literally STAND STILL for it to cast, and it's design or properties what ever you want to call it, literally make your character stand still to get in range.

I have multiple games where I am within range right at the edge of ignite range to someone running away from me, and I'm spamming ignite with faster move speed, but the second your character gets slightly closer and in range to ignite, when you press ignite, either it has like a .5 second cast time, or some other bullshit happens, because your character literally STANDS STILL to cast the spell, and because of doing so, you become out of range and it doesn't go off. Why is it designed so that when you get in range to cast it, your character stops moving to cast it.

In the clip, I catch caitlyn with a w/q combo, decide to flash in to her to ignite her at 10% hp ensuring the kill. Instead what happens as you can see as brand flashes towards caitlyn, I click towards caitlyn to step closer in range of ignite, and spam press ignite, I don't press anything else as q/w are both on cooldown, and I'm in range to auto her and ignite her. INSTEAD you can see after my character model steps in range of her and I press ignite, it randomly forces me to take a studder step and the ignite does not go off, but my auto has time to go off, and then caitlyn flashes away.

And the best part? The enemy velkoz is further away from me than I am from caitlyn, but his ignite goes off on me, despite mine not going off on her after spamming it multiple times. So it's not a matter of "not in range" because velkoz was able to ignite me, so why is it my character studder steps and has to stand still to cast ignite?

You missplayed, clearly it's the game's fault/faulty mechanics!

Don't you stand still by casting regular spells anyways? There's are few exceptions, but for the most part you stand still. I never had problems using ignite, seems like a unnecessary complain...
