PSA For all Low Elo Players

If you're stuck in low elo and want to start climbing ranks fast, here's some helpful advice for you.

-Stop Blaming If you're not able to climb, it's no one's fault but your own. Stop blaming bad teams and saying it's impossible to carry them. Sure there are the occasional afk's/trolls but even so, out of the 1000 games you play they are not the reason you have not climbed.

-Stop Making up Excuses I literally just read a post by another user saying how AP Alistar is the reason why he can't get out of bronze. It's not a certain champion's fault that you can't get climb and it's not matchmakings fault that you are stuck in low elo. Nothing matters except for the fact that it's your own fault you can't climb.

-You're low elo Being low elo means you are BAD at this game. You have A LOT to improve on and you need to realize this. If you think you did everything perfect in a game but your team was just so bad you couldn't win, congrats, you're doing it WRONG. The moment you think you have done everything perfectly is the moment you put yourself in elo hell forever. When you don't acknowledge that you could have performed better, this is when you stop improving. (Yes you can still lose an occasional game going 1000/0/0 but this SHOULD NOT be a factor in why you are stuck.)

-KDA Does not mean everything It's good to have an amazing KDA but with terrible decision making, you will go close to nowhere. Stop boasting about your KDA and focus on how you can make better decisions throughout the whole game. One example of terrible decision making that low elo players have is that they want to continuously fight over and over again while ignoring important objectives. And god does low elo players have HORRIBLE item builds. Getting an amazing KDA but building non efficient items is just as bad as feeding and not getting any items at all. You lose your potential to carry if you waste gold on items that don't maximize your champion's strengths.

After everything, if you want to climb you have to focus on improving yourself. Every excuse you make or find to blame your inability to climb is complete BULLSHIT. Nothing holds you back except yourself and your ego that blinds you from improving.

And trust me I've dealt with everything you have dealt with. Started in Silver III and worked my ass off to achieve Diamond I in 2 months. I didn't care about bad teams, I didn't care about feeders, afk's, trolls, toxic players, OP champions, broken items or anything. Don't let any of that bullshit get to you. I focused on one thing, IMPROVING and that's what I did. I improved.

Yeah it's my fault if I have max stacks on Mejais and have 900+ AP as Lissandra and my bot lane is feeding on purpose and I have a Teemo mid

totally my fault and I should stop blaming them

can't believe so many people in the comments disagree with this and don't realize they're the whiny low elo kids you're talking about who blame their mistakes on everyone else.

like how ignorant can you be?

if you're in bronze / silver / gold it's because you're BAD and need to IMPROVE

it's not your team, it's 100% you

Why people keep writing those posts? If you reached D1 - good for you.

To me, "elo hell" is that level that you're not good enough to carry games, but still preform better than the people you are playing with.

Over a thousand games in silver (placed S2), never went below S4, never got gold. Have like a 40% winrate. Now, I can tell you with absolute certainty that, yeah, it's not my fault. Average KDA is about 4:1, I win lane 9/10 games, roam to other lanes and push their towers, focus objectives when I can, all that. Despite doing everything I can possibly do to win a game, I still lose.

When I'm 5/0 and every other lane / role is 0/8 at 10 minutes, what more can I do?
