Support question involving the MMR system.

WHY DOES EVERYONE EARN DIFFERENT AMOUNTS OF LEAGUE POINTS? If your MMR is significantly lower than where the system believes you should be for the division you are in, then your LP gains will be reduced and LP loss will be increased. Alternatively, if your MMR is significantly higher compared to the average your current tier or division, you will gain more LP and lose less. You may even skip promotion series or advance multiple tiers if your MMR significantly outweighs your league.

How does the system determine if you should skip a promos? do you just play like a boss or what?

Winning against people of higher MMR is worth more than winning to those of equal or lesser. Basically, consistently win against people the system expects you to lose against.

You can skip divisions when your MMR is much higher than it "should" be for the division you'd be promoting into.

Normally this only happens if you're winning a lot but keep failing your promos repeatedly.

If it gets really, ridiculously too high, they can even promote you directly even without you winning a promo series. This is basically so that smurfs can't keep themselves in a low division despite a super high MMR, which looks really confusing.
