How can I better help my team when I'm ahead

So basically, I'm trying to level up my smurf and all of a sudden as I hit level like 18, every single game I play my side lanes lose. They usually go around 2/7, 3/7, or 5/7 (which isn't too bad) but you get my drift. I'm playing mostly Katarina mid and I'm going like 6/1 in lane or so every game. I want to know how I can help my team at least be relevant when the laning phase ends, because I'm on a 12 game loss streak from this. Now, obviously I'm doing the basic things such as roaming, global gold, etc. But it's not enough. Last game, I roamed top at least 4 times and each were successful. I roamed bot 3 times same result. Yet my teams can't win lane off it. I'm practically never in my lane after I'm ahead trying to help them out but it's not enough. I just want to know what more I can possibly do to help these guys get ahead because I've done everything I can think of.

TL;DR I've done everything in my mind to help my side lanes win (roaming, obj, etc) and they still end up getting smashed in lane, what more can I do to help?

Give them kills. Unless you give them a gold advantage, going to their lane does nothing but stall.

For the enemy team, fighting smurfs isn't really fair.

What you could probably do is to keep pushing until you get the inhibitor.

Become a leader, this is not something that will happen in 1-2 games laning needs to become second nature and you need strong map awareness which is difficult for a lot of players because CSing and worrying about the enemy laner can be tough especially if they have a favored match up.

play more support like champs, become a shot caller not just for baron and dragon but learn how to read the map in its current state call out ganks learn jungle paths, ward, communicate as much as possible if your lane is missing ping it tell your team last known location, watch your teams health pools and hypothesis ganks. If you get an early tower or are far enough ahead when you roam dont leave after the kills are gone if you believe it can be done call for a tower push and make rotation calls.

I understand not everyone listens but if you make 2-3 good calls in a row typically the team will listen.

With the ping system call out you cool downs if you think they are about to make a bad engage call out that you would like to wait for said ability or if this risk is too high especially when it comes to objectives. I can't tell you how many times a cloud drake comes up and the support or someone goes to the dragon pit when no one else on the team is positioned properly to contest and ends up wasting time or worse giving gold on top of the obj or the worst baiting team mates that are close by that are trying to save someone who gets caught doing one of the said above things.

When you roam, who gets the kills? If you are taking all of the kills, you are depriving them of gold that you don't need (if you're being honest, according to your statement you'd have participated in 13 kills, 7 of which could be assists from roaming, which would work out to over $1k gold for you and theoretically upwards of $2100 gold for your teammates).

Are you sticking around and pushing their lanes with them? Objectives are far more important than kills, especially for low level players who really focus heavily on getting kills. Help them push their towers.

Finally, once you help them get all that gold, advise them politely on the best builds for their champs. They may not be spending the gold wisely.

Hope this helps
