Ranked Proposal.
I don't know about anyone else... but when it comes to ranked games, I do not agree with players trying champions for the very first time. I can't count the number of times that I have had to deal with a player who chooses to play a champion for the very first time in ranked, who completely tilted the game against a hyper-carry.
My proposal for this, since they implemented the champion mastery, is that they make some use of it. I think players should be restricted from playing champions in ranked if they don't at least have a level 1 or level 2 mastery on a champion. I understand that someone may just own a champion to use for trading, but that's why I'm proposing level 1 or 2. Otherwise I'd suggest a higher champion mastery. There are restrictions in order to play ranked. You have to be level 30 due to lack of experience, and a higher chance to ruin the ranked experience of players who are already level 30 and ranked. Not to mention you must also own at least 16 champions before you can compete in ranked play. If you're restricted before level 30 due to lack of experience, why shouldn't you be restricted from first timing champions in ranked, due to lack of experience?
To myself, it feels like the more and more I progress through the ladders, I encounter more and more players who think they've become so good that they can just first time a champion, and win without getting familiar with champion mechanics and match-ups. I think part of owning a champion is actually playing a champion. You haven't fully purchased the champion until you've at least played them once. So why be allowed to play it in a ranked game?
Just an idea, hoping for some feedback.
