Annie Update
Three big changes to make Annie more engaging, but keeping her feeling the same.
Make her Q pass over all minions, but it's a skillshot that only hits champs.
Her W does more AoE damage to compensate for the now lack in wave clear. Damage would be amped
against minions and monsters, but not sure about higher damage against champs.
Her E would be a MagicMail, for spells only, that would damage whomever uses spells on her whilst it is active.
It would have to be a shorter duration (just like Riven's E change) to make it less op and more skill based.
I would eventually love to see Annie use her bear to copy and use her spells from afar, but might be a larger
project than this simple change that I'm suggesting. It's relevant to Annie, so I'll mention it here.
- It'd be cool if her bear had the same hp as her, or maybe less so she feels like she needs to protect her bear more, rather than just sending it in without a care. It would deal the same damage as her regular spells, but again, the bear would just be a living projection of herself. It might be balanced to allow her to still use her spells from her location too, but if not, you could amp the damage of her spells from the bear and make it a risk reward for her vulnerability to herself. If this bear change was a thing, I believe you would have to allow her to refresh the CD on all her spells. You might even make it so that the summoning location damage is severely low in comparison to today's live summon damage.
For clarification to the above paragraph, the summon damage I'm referring to is the damage enemies take when Annie smacks Tibbers down on the field atop a champion. The stun mechanic should/might be taken away due to the higher skill required to juggle these multiple things. Low elo already has a hard time juggling her stun passive, but maybe this can be balanced. I think if she's getting extra ranged, plus a refresh to CD's the stun passive wouldn't be balanced at that point (obviously). I think she can continue doing what she does as a close range immobile mage, and at lvl 6 she unlocks a huge power spike ranged basically.
It's an interesting concept that I'd really enjoy play testing. All her spell animations and particles would stay the same, so it wouldn't be much to implement. All it would need would be a special particle for when an enemy is damaged from Annie's E MagicMail.
I wouldn't bother posting this, but I know Riot has implemented many of the changes I've suggested over the years, so based on the history of things, statistically they'll add some iteration of this into the game.
