GAREN IS WAY TO STRONG I CANNOT DO ANYTHING IF I FREEZE AND FARM UNDER TOWER HE JUST GETS A GANK AND TANKS LIKE 20 TOWER SHOTS WITH NO BUILT ARMOR ITS NO FUN. PLAYING A RANGE CHAMP IS A LITTLE BETTER BUT HE STILL SUSTAINS EVERYTHING. ITS EITHER YOU LOSE EARLY OR BE ABLE TO DO NOTHING AND STILL LOSE LATE HOW IS THIS FUN OR GOOD FOR THE GAME IN ANY WAY! THE ONLY TIME YOU CAN POSSIBLY KILL HIM IS WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR ENTIRE TEAM EVEN THEN IT TAKES ALL UR ULTIMATES AND ABILITIES ITS SERIOUSLY A JOKE. IF YOU CAN OUTPLAY HIM YOU CAN KILL HIM LIKE LVL 3 DEPENDING CHAMP BUT HE STILL MANAGES TO BEAT YOU PAST 5 WHEN HE DOESNT EVEN HAVE ARMOR. P;LEASE FIX PLEASE FIX PLEASE FIX ;...... IT IS NOT FUN

Play Garen counters. There are many.

Garen's main weakness is kiting, so any champ that can hit him repeatedly from a distance and keep the distance open can wear him down with relative ease. I highly recommend practicing some champions that counter him. Since it strongly sounds like you don't have a lot of experience going against him, I can understand your frustration. Don't give up or stay frustrated. As with anything new, you will not feel very talented at the beginning. Since you are still trying to figure out Garen's counterplay, it will seem like he's powerful, but every champion has their weaknesses. Once you learn to exploit them, then Garen should be pretty easy to beat.

" Can wear him down" LOl the he just sits under tower or extremly far away and regends with passive yep wear him down. I understand playing a range champ will allow you to actually fking lane but it will not make a difference in killing him since he will just sustain. You need burst to kill him but i dont see any range burst champions other than quinn but i dont own her

Then you need to poke at him from a distance so he can't regain his passive. As I said before, his biggest weakness is kiting. If he's sitting under his own tower, then you're pushing the lane too hard. If he's pushing you, you're not wearing him down enough.

A weapon with Grievous Wounds (debuff) will keep him from regaining health as quickly, and there are plenty of other items that work based on the target's max hp... item 3151 for example.

A more practical approach is to wear him down with poison. It completely counteracts his ability to regain health and can wear him down quickly if he thinks he can chase you. The top three for this, of course, are Cassiopeia Singed Teemo . But you need to make him come out from the tower's protection. Make him chase you.

Yeah, it should. You go through periods where Champ X is likely to disrupt your win streak. LoL gives you an option to remove them from the field. For a long time it was Kled for me.

Garen isn't hard to deal with. By profiling, he's almost always played my wanna-be anime heroes. Let him dive. Plan for it. Win.

As a top laner? Team communication is good, and banning champs for your other lanes is great if you have the experience to potentially play against a strong pick in your lane, but if this guy had that kind of experience he wouldn't be posting an all caps "nerf Garen" thread.

Good news is Garen's win rate is starting to drop, so it looks like people are starting to learn what kiting is again.

here's what happened i'm guessing. due to jhin only being able to attack in burst of 4's garen just activates his w for those shots along with tower, but the passive on it is also going. he might have had around a good 20 armor/magic resist with the % damage reduction from his w

Doesnt matter even if i play a main like irelia i can kill him early but then he just gets to strong and forces me to roam its bullsht. Then he destroys team fights cause he soaks everyone ability and runs through cc taking no dmg

Don't be surprised then. Usually not having counter champioms would mean you wouldn't want to win certain match ups. I used to go into Garen as Camille, always get outscaled by garen's free defense gains amd once he gets Black Cleaver I would lose all of my lane advantage(if I had it to begin with). That's why I decided to go into garen with my second main, Aatrox, who doesn't give a darn about enemy's scaling - he is just gonna thrash you out no matter what.

i agree on this except for Ashe and Teemo mostly due to having to face a garen once with around 80% tenacity with the w start up

Both can continue slowing him down ene after using W and Q. Ashe cam kite him with AA and W and after Garen loses all of his tenacity boost ashe can Ult, meanwhile teemo csn blind Garen's Q, makes sure he doesm't scale to mid game, can't cleanse slow from multiple mushroom hits, etc.

Also pissed off from the fact i was at 99lp then get a fking troll comp who wants to ff at 15 so they just afk in base like wt sfaasdfads then i lose 2 in a row after that due to fking garen and feeding kids
