Kog Essential Items changes. TF rush? Why? is it viable?

So with Kog's revert, it's no surprise his recommended items were changed too. Items like rage blade and wit's end (even though it was never a recommended at all was still powerful rush).

Riot's got Trinity force, along with phage as a must buy early item and I'm thinking to myself "why would you ever want to build this?" Since his R is only an execute and not a general damage skill, (like corki's ult) you aren't going to be keen to spam it, unless desperately trying to pop that pesky lee sin who got away. This points your W (a fair thing for a sheen proc, but that's just one), you can hold out and use Q to get a second one, but waiting on your E to proc may take too long honestly. There's nothing really in his kit that would encourage you to build it, especially first.

What do you guys think? I was climbing with kog up till this point so I feel like I know him fairly well, and I did even before rework (but didn't play him much). What should he be rushing? What works the best as a core?
