Grading confusion

LOL BS

So I don't think my stats were amazing. Sure I had 0 deaths and decent kills, but low cs (very short game), one of them afked, and I get why I should not expect an S of any type here. However, Fiora on the same team had less value, a couple more wards than me, 3-2-6 KDA vs my 6-0-6. I basically beat her in all categories, but she got an S-... Anyone care to shed some light on this?

Sounds like an Ekko who wanted an S but didn't get his. :)

Now, I found the game you are referring to on lolstarz.com and lol-mmr.com.

By the looks of it, Fiora got characterized as being a support in that game - in other words, you were dualling top and she got identified as a support by the position/rating system (i.e., less minions taken, more wards dropped, kills given to the other dual laner [you] as opposed to Fiora, was getting assists instead of kills, didn't die to the opposing laner that much, etc.). The AI for identifying who or what is a support is far from perfect. In short, you managed to grab more minions and kills and she was rewarded for letting you be the big bad beefy Ekko that you are. :)

I wouldn't sweat it if I were you. Hopefully you enjoyed your extra key fragment and/or crate as a result. :p

Remember that we dont know the full list of what exactly is needed to get an S or higher. With that said its usually down to K/D/A, CS, Ward placements/destroyed, and objectives (possibly towers, dragon, inhibs, etc) Not only that but you also need to consider the champions you are playing. I probably see more Ekko than Firoa So you are basically going against someone who is popular than someone who is rarely seen at least in your region. Because it also takes into account where you play and its combine play style from said region. So a popular champion who is played by a lot of people would have a higher difficulty to get a high ranking because loads of people are playing this champion. Whereas someone who rarely picked would be easier since the system doesnt have as much information.
