What was changed that broke Lucian?

Pretty simple question, probably a simple answer.

I havent played in like 4 months basically. So not really sure what the commotion is about. Anyone able to fill me in really quick on what changed to make him so broken?

EDIT: Seems like Gameplay hasnt changed in 4-5 months at all. Ask a simple question to try and get caught up, get downvoted.

Ever since preseason, Lucian has been on the rise as the jack-of-all, master-of-none of ADCs with a super strong laning phase and strong mid game, due to his synergy with S6 Essence Reaver.

In 6.7, Corki, who has a similar strength profile to Lucian, was nerfed out of viability with the removal of his passive's damage amplification (and honestly, good riddance). Meaning, Lucian's strength profile became even more attractive, due to a lack of similar alternatives.

Same goes for Ezreal, who took indirect nerfs from IBG's tank-based nerfs, and Kalista, who was nerfed directly.

What Riot will do with the nerfs is to give him a more pronounced niche, as well as toning down his general power level a peg. To that end, I strongly suspect that they will have a look at his mana costs.

Most other ADCs were nerfed until he was considered a prime pick. It isn't anything on him that changed or even items really it's more that most other popular ADCs were hit with nerfs. For some reason a high mobility ADC was considered ok with his passive giving him very high burst it makes sense that Riot's balance team did nothing to him.

Just look at Kalista - she's had her passive hit at least twice and given lower attack speed unless she's near her oathsworn. Jinx was nerfed a bunch too. Caitlyn is a safe pick but doesn't have the burst kill potential. Ashe was given a brief moment in the spotlight before being nerfed. Miss Fortune was nerfed / changed such that she isn't as OP as she was briefly. Sivir's ult was hit and is generally preferred by specific team comps.
