Champion slump

I'm having a major issue with League lately. I play a champion for a while, do well, have a great kda (3+) but then after a while i seem to slump off and am lucky to break even. Recently it's been Amumu. I went from carrying games hard, nailing flash q's like a pro, getting lanes fed and a Pentakill 2 days ago to loosing every game I've played today and just can't seem to pull ahead.

But it's not just Amumu. I've done the same with Voli, Vlad , and Shacco . I don't get how players can have hundreds of games with a single champion and do well. I seem to be able to play a single champion for about 5-10 games before I start to suck. I could change champions and start doing well again, but I want to get consistently good with a champion before switching to another.

What do other players do to improve when they hit this slump? Do you stop playing that champ for a while? Do you keep trying knowing that when you can play poorly but learn from your mistakes you can be better? This is really frustrating (and it doesn't help when opposing team points out that you're having a terrible game).

It's because you go from experimenting to having a stagnant strategy. Once you find that something tends to work, you stick with it, becoming less creative and responsive to new problems.

I say, just work on continuing to have fun with the actual champion, and continue to try new things. Always think of ways you could be using the champion better than you currently are. Think of the hidden potential each champ has that you have yet to unlock and try to tap into it. Don't be satisfied with your gameplay with them just because you are doing extremely well, consider yourself scrub level and just think "I can do better than this shit".

Most importantly; just have fun.

Play ARAM and Tetris.

You don't have to ace them, just play them.
