Why are some people obsessed with split push?

I don t get it why some people literally split push till our nexus is down. I know split push is good in some situations but I asked for baron several times and my support who was split pushing said: We don t need baron just push bot and top. How can some people ignore one of the most crucial thing in this game. Baron buffs are so op and so useful in many ways especially for high pressure. RIOT should really add a big tool tip about importance of Baron and some dragons over stuff like: "Did you know Ashe 's husband had 10 fingers?" /s.

I mean nobody is interested in that useless lore, I would like to see more useful tips in loading screen about mechanics stuff or macro, since there are so many players that really hate doing Baron, it feels like poor baron did something bad to them and they want to avoid Baron at any cost even with the price of a game. I keep losing those games when they refuse to do baron and the enemy team end up doing it and win.

because some people are obsessed with KDA over winning a game so some people try to actually win by applying pressure

split pushing is the strat that allows one team to take objectives the goal of split pushing isn't to split push till you end the game yourself the goal of split pushing is to draw resources towards you so that your team has a levarage at the other end of the map

ie you are trynd and you go bot when baron is being contested the enemy team has to make a choice fight baron and hope you win the fight and get baron while trynd takes your towers/inhib OR stop trynd forfeit baron and then defend at base where you hope to get a fight and turn the game around

the trick2g udyr nasus trynd and sion split pushing win conditions are hard and unlikely to result into a win but it's satisfying to be the reason a game was won
