Riot wants Ahri not to be played

The recent pbe updates are just destroying her. Aside from Deathfire grasps removal drastically reducing her kill potential, now Riot wants to remove the % dmg amplification on her e??

I'm not sure if they understand that Ahri IS AN ASSASSIN and playing her as a Mage like they want her to be played is just plain stupid, she does not have enough aoe dmg to be considered effective and now she won't even be an assassin anymore. A slight flat damage buff on her w and e ( seriously a flat damage buff on charm? What kind of weed are you guys smoking at riot?) do NOT make up for the removal of % dmg on her charm. I don't understand how you think Ahri is going to be effective at all when she now does ridiculously low single target damage. Oh but hey she can now run fast for a second when she throws out her q! Wow that's incredibly useful, I will make sure I keep that in mind when I can't even dps down their carry before he lifesteals all my dmg back. I was already considering quitting Ahri altogether once I learned about the DFG removal, but if these changes go live it's goodbye Ahri. Shame since I really wanted that new skin of hers but I will not support a company that snorts meth before "balancing" the game.

Edit; Didn't realize the average league player was so stupid so I'll explain here since I'm tired of trying to explain simple logic to likely highschool dropouts. Riot gave Ahri an e amp to make up for the heavy nerfs they did on her W and her R. If Riot is going to remove her E's 20% dmg amp then bring back the W and R damage that made her the strong pick she was before her push into the assassin meta.

O-o did you forget how ahri was before her nerfs? She was very strong as an aoe mage who riot had to constantly nerf until she was forced into the dfg assassin role. Now that dfg is being removed, riot is moving her back towards her mage/assassin hybrid role that she occupied when she was a top tier pick/ban.

With out the Damage Amp, I'm not sure if I would call her a hybrid. If they did remove the Damage amp, they should do something to make the Charm ability feel useful. Maybe buff the charm Duration.

I'm an Ahri main with a pretty decent KDR and win rate at the Plat level. I can safely say that Ahri does garbage AOE dmg compared to pretty much every single other defined Mage. Her w and ulti are unreliable sources of damage since they target randomly, and riot has long nerfed the dmg on her w for every foxfire that hits the same target. This literally only leaves her q since her e is not aoe and does laughable damage in the first place. The problem with Ahri being a Mage is that her only reliable source of dmg (her q) is not nearly especially strong, has very slow travel time/readability, and on a 5-6 second cd. Other mages like Ziggs and Orianna can harass much more efficiently with less cool down, more versatility, more range, and much more dmg. These current pbe updates are trying to force Ahri back into the Mage meta but her "buffs" are a complete joke compared to what she is losing. What irritates me the most is that Ahri has a much higher skill ceiling than most other mid lane champs, yet she is getting essentially gutted while freelo like fizz, zed, and Akali can just 1vs 5 your team while you throw out Qs and run away fast for 1 second. These changes make no sense to me.

Honestly don't care what you are now since I am talking about pre-nerf ahri and you clearly weren't paying attention to ahir during season 2 and early season 3. Also, I don't really care how ahri will theoretically play in your head after the changes because there is absolutely no reason to theorycraft over ahri without the damage amp. Ahri was a top tier pick/ban before her charm had a damage amp and dfg was a core item on her. The current pbe changes are pushing her back to her mage/assasin hybrid stage which has already proven the ability to be strong/overpowered.

Learn to read someone's comment before you spout your worthless opinions. I've been playing Ahri since season 2, I know how good she was before her e amp. The reason why they even gave her an e amp in the first place is because they HEAVILY nerfed the stacking dmg on her w and reduced the damage on her ulti by a fair amount. If they're going to remove what they compensated Ahri with then bring back what they compensated for, not remove a core item and gameplay mechanic just to let her run fast for 1 second.

It's hard to believe someone who plays Ahri would think Orb of Deception is weak.

Outside of League of Spreadsheets, there's very few targets with less than 50MR. And the movement speed buff is aimed at helping you reposition the backswing for even more damage during fights.

It's not a good idea to center the entire dmg of a champ on one medium cd, easily dodegable, mid dmg skillshot. Teamfights don't usually last more than 10 seconds, that gives Ahri a chance to throw one q and maybe 2 if she is lucky. Now if Riot would allow Ahri to cast q a second time to return the orb early it would be a step in the right direction.

That's what it is right now. The entire kit revolves around you landing both parts of Orb of Deception.

You are aware that you can reposition your Orb, right?

You realize orb of deception is stupidly easy to dodge right? Especially the return. If they're going to remove the entirety of Ahris burst potential then at least give her only viable spell a bonus for landing both the outbound and return hits or something along those lines. Fact is that Ahri does not have enough dmg to keep up anymore after her w and r nerfs post season 3 and the recent removal of DFG and her e amp dmg. Having her run fast for 1 second does nothing to mitigate all she has lost since season 3.

If you're telegraphing your actions, it's easy to dodge any spell.

Also, the movement speed buff lasts a lot longer than 1 second. I'd suggest testing it on the PBE.

Ahri playstyle:

Hit charm Slam your fist on the keyboard Get kill (or not)

How deep and interesting.

If Riot wanted Ahri to not be played, they didn't really have to do anything. Removing DFG is a pretty big deal for her, and she isn't exactly tearing up the meta with it.

SMH people who say this are dumb. She's still listed as a mage first an a assassin second. In Season 3 you could 100 to 0 people without landing a single charm, now you need to land a charm to kill people but when you do it's an instant kill. They need to find a happy medium.

You need to l2logic kiddo. Riot wouldn't give her an e amp if she was already very strong UNLESS THEY NERFED SOMETHING ELSE ABOUT HER durrrrrrrrrr. If they revert the w and ulti nerfs that were the ****in reason she got an e amp in the first place I'm perfectly happy with Mage Ahri.

Again you really should THINK before commenting on anything, it also seems you have a reading disability so I will say it once more in caps so you might understand. THEY NERFED HER AOE MAGE DMG LONG TIME AGO K?? THEY GAVE HER E AMP IN THE FIRST PLACE TO COMPENSATE FOR THE W AND R NERFS. Honestly try to use what little brain power you have; why in the world would riot give her e a 20% dmg amp if she was pick/ban since season 2/3? Answer; if you don't understand by now, order "hooked on phonics" and go back to school. And as for my rank, this is clearly a mule. My ign is worth more than your car probably.
