Why Bork on ezreal?

I'm not an adc main anymore but I really enjoy playing ezreal. I hit gold 3 last season, ended gold 4, so I know at least the basics of the game and item layout etc. But I can't figure out for the life of me why people take Bork on ezreal when they are like no tanks on the enemy team.'I see it even in challenger/diamond streams. Am I missing something? Wouldn't you rather just bloodthirster if the entire enemy team is made of squishies and bruisers? I would totally get it if it's a tanky enemy but otherwise I'm lost... Anyone?

I don't understand why he builds bloodthirster instead of gunblade since gunblade heals off all your damage, including sheen/on-hit, ability, and aa.

Is it just to be able to stack a shield before a fight?

So his damage against tanks isn't completely worthless.

Botrk is an item that gives a really good amount of sustained damage without needing any other stat to back it up, unlike classic adc itemization that requires crit, attack speed, lifesteal. Since ezreal goes for the blue build requiring iceborn + manamune he doesn't have as much slots for a classic multiplier (crit,as,lifesteal) build, you'll see him go item 3025 item 3004 item 3153 item 3139 item 3036 item 3158

item 3139 is really good and brings even more safety to Ezreal. Instead of botrk; item 3031 would bring only 20% chance item 3046 item 3087 item 3094 meh, just attack speed and a bit of crit, and Q can't crit, also you don't have IE so crit isn't as good item 3072 You'd lack sustained damage compared to botrk item 3508 no mana problems with manamune iceborn, you also don't need more than 30% cdr because if you have higher cdr the cd of Q becomes lower than the cd of iceborn procs.

Basically botrk is just the best choice
