Was gaining 20/19 lp into promos to gold 3. was at a 48% win ratio. Promoted to gold 3 insta hit a 5 loss streak. my win ratios now 50% and i gain 17lp. lose 17lp. A rioter told me it was based off win ratio, so why the fuck would I lose MORE LP at 50% win ratio, than I did at 48%. Doesn't make sense
MMR is simple. Wins, losses, with the context of who your playing.
Use a probability distribution model and move accounts off results of the match off the model in the correct direction.
LP gains are not your MMR gains thou.
Nothing to do with winrate. It has everything to do with the AVG MMR of everyone on the team compared to your own personal MMR.
The reason you are only gaining 17 is because you are Gold 3 MMR playing in a silver 1 avg MMR game.
My WR is like 57% and I gain like 16LP, lose 16LP... Currently Gold 1.
