Can Corki go hybrid?

Since half of Corki's attacks in most of his abilities are ap, is it possible to build Corki as a hybrid between ap and ad or does it go one way or the other?

It depends on the play style really.

But on a mathematical level, it's best to devote to one or the other. In League, most related stats multiply on each other (AD+AS+C is the most obvious multiplier interaction). This means the more you invest in a stat, the more gold efficient further investing in the stat becomes. Once you've decided if you want to play DPS or Poke Corki, it's best to continue building into that.

his ap ratios aren't that great, so he usually does best with ad+magicpen(he deals ~75% magic damage, as his q, w and r are full magic damage rather than 50/50) one might consider gunblade though

Magic pen boots is the only thing he needs. His magic damage isn't anything special, so I usually don't invest much in it (except the boots). And you gotta remember that half of your damage is auto attacks.

Does anyone know if the magic half of his damage benefits from mpen or if its converted to magic after the calculation for physical damage? If its the first I'd go an all AD build + sorcs and void staff instead of last whisper.

What would be the point of it beeing magic damage when it still would get reduced by armor rather than MR?????? It would have no difference to physical damage at all!

Obviously, the magicdamage profits from **magic **pen, as it is MAGIC damage.

depends wether you want to focus on oke/burst or dps. For poke/burst: item 3020 item 3151 item 3135 ( item 3146 ) item 3100 item 3116 item 3285 item 3165 For more dps, consider: item 3031 item 3508 item 3094 item 3087 item 3072 item 3078 item 3091 For tankiness: item 3025 item 3139 item 3053 item 3102 item 3026 item 3143

One of the things that makes corki difficult is that he profits from many different items, and knowing which to get in a specific situation can make a big difference and certainly is part of his skillcap. some built examples wich i like to use: item 3020 item 3165 item 3285 item 3151 item 3135 item 3116 , this is all about poke item 3078 item 3508 item 3091 item 3072 item 3031 for High dps while still providing huge burstpikes with q+r and my personal favorite if used on a sololane: item 3025 item 3053 item 3139 Bruiser Corki!
