@Riot, @ghostcrawler, Does experience have any impact on matchmaking?

League of Legends Match History

I just played a game (match linked) where the 4 members of my team had 0, 1, 2, and 9 ranked wins on the season. I have about 300. The opposing team averaged about 400. Predictably, we were slaughtered. I know I am, unfortunately, ranked right around where everyone who starts out in ranked matches starts out in terms of MMR. However, it doesn't feel right to be matched with a bunch of players in their initial ranked matches against a bunch of other veterans of the current ranked season. Frankly, losing is one thing, but since I have put in the time, I would just like to be matched with other players that have a solid amount of experience. So my question is: does experience have any weight in matchmaking? If it does, how was the linked match determined fair? If not, shouldn't it be? Why doesn't it?

Your experience doesn't go into MMR, your recent matches do.

I am not necessarily talking about MMR, but actual matchmaking. A player with an MMR of 1200 and 1 game played is far more of a wildcard than someone with an MMR of 1200 and 500 games played. I don't think it is fair to put 4 players with a combined 13 ranked wins on a team against an opponent that has >2000 games won. Even if their ostensible MMR is equal
