What's up with Kennen?
I rarely see Kennen in games or in events. Is he bad or just unnoticed? Was thinking of buying him but not sure.

He had a huge presence in Worlds, just right now there's other new meta champs to play.
He's getting a super cool skin.
He's not bad, but he's not OP. He's still a great pick if you are good with him.
Irelia's release is why he fell out of the meta his aoe cc is great for teamfights but her passive counters that especially when fighting a team. it allows her to jump on you after you have blown everything to stun the opposing team leaving you vulnerable
Kennen is an awesome asset to a team. Massive aoe damage and cc. But he's not exactly a 100-0 champ unless fed ontop a squishy and he is cooldown gated. You want to make sure to work within range of your other team's damage sources stunning/peeling and softening targets for them.
His laning phase is good but requires finesse. Farm is very essential for him since his damage is heavily gated in teamfights as aoe or in lane for a poking manaless champion.
Honestly I love him, and I don't want to see him change too much.
He can be pressured by tanky duelists split pushing later game and easily peeled in teamfight by an Alistar but if you are careful and calculating he is fearsome. I like to build rylias to bring utility with ult down and as a 1v1 deterrence.
I consider picking him versus squishier comps as his aoe burst will more likely win you the game. He's also amazing in 3s versus melee compositions.
Playing him to his full potential takes experience and that is why he is uncommon.
Kennen doesn't work very well against competent players. There's too much mobility, CC, and disengage for him to get good ults off, and too many carries are building Maw or Steraks, so he has little to no kill potential.
