Does it bother anyone else how the secondary tree rune tree selection works?

To elaborate, If you had sorcery as your secondary, with (1)The Ultimate Hat and (2)Gathering Storm, you cant simply change GS to Scorch, for example; If Your TUH was first and GS was 2nd, you would have to select Scorch, have it replace TUH and then reselect TUH in order to have the 2nd slot change.

This seems to be because it never changes the mode of selection form when you first make the tree, where you select a first then a 2nd, and it just keeps going that way, every time you have to change the first then the second, and to make matters even worse you cant select the same rune, so you cant per-say click on The Ulti Hat again and then just change GS to Scorch, you HAVE to pick a new one. This also means that in order to pick a new 2nd you have to select at least 3 in order to have the original first as well, also there is no way to back out of the selection menu so it just hangs there until you close the rune page. It all just bothers me so much.

It is especially bad when in champ select when you are trying to switch a minor rune and all of a sudden you are stuck with the one you didnt want because of how weird the secondary selection works. I cant possibly be the only one annoyed with how silly the secondary tree rune selection is, they should change individually after the first selection.

-Vanity edit- This is the first post Ive had get so much attention, what a strange tingly feeling :3

I don't have this problem at all. It lets me choose two runes freely without a problem.

Yeah that second tree gets pretty wonky when you try to change it. It's really not very intuitive.

I'm more bothered by the fact that the secondary tree gets deleted if you want to switch your primary tree to another path.

And even worse, as it is now, you can't even look at another tree for possible options without having your current tree deleted.

Yes. It also should let you pick your primary without replacing the current secondary you have chosen.

Yes its annoying...but hey, afk's are annoying too and that hasnt been fixed since the war of 1812.

Can you elaborate? Because I'm not seeing this issue pop up at all; I click the rune I don't want (wherever it is in the order), then from the pop up list I pick the rune I do want, and voila, it's there next to the rune I picked previously. Sometimes they change up what order they're in, but that's it; for me (and apparently others) you CAN pick them individually. If (say) you're switching runes as you mentioned, can you tell us what exactly happens if you have the old setup locked in, then click directly on GS, then (from the pop-up list) click directly on Scorch?

It might be that the client is bugged for some folks. This would explain why some people know exactly what you're referring to and others (like myself) have no clue what you're talking about, because as far as I know, what you're asking for is already how it works.

Might be because of my native language not being English but i didn't understand the problem. I haven't personally had any issues with changing the runes.

Also imo though a much more minor not even an issue issue:

Secondary tree positions are affected by your first tree selection, shifting trees left when you pick a primary left of them. They could simplify this to have them constant out and fade out the primary tree pick.

Yup, the only other "solution" is to reselect the rune you want to change, which is counter-intuitive, because you don't know if the click was registered aka there is no way to tell until you try to select a different rune.

yes this annoys me every time.

It's not super bad, but can mess up your runes when you're running out of time.

I don't understand your scenario. I just tried having TUH (1st slot) and GS (2nd slot). This is what happens when I try change it:

A. I press TUH (1st slot) and select Scorch. I end up with TUH (1st slot) and Scorch (2nd slot).

B. I press GS (2nd slot) and press Scorch. I end up with TUH (1st slot) and Scorch (2nd slot)

I mean in your scenario you can NOT have Scorch replace TUH since you can NOT have Scorch and Gathering Storm at the same time.

It doesn't bother me. It's like 1 click and a mouse sway.

Before you downvote me do understand you asked the community as a whole in your title.

Yes, it's really annoying how it always swaps the wrong one.
