Why does Avarice Blade exist?

is... a weird item. It shares a relationship w. that's identical to the one between and ; two items that give very similar stats, but give different passives and build into different things. My problem with Avarice Blade is that the gold generation doesn't carry over. I know that a Jinx with gold regeneration sounds broken af, but Avarice doesn't have to give gp10. Give it CDR or MS or something, and carry over the new passive to Statik/thatoneitemnoonebuilds.

tl;dr: avarice blade is easily replacable by cloak in both of its recipes, why does this thing exist

It is suppose to help out with gold, but really it just stalls you out. You have to hold this item for 16 min for it to be gold efficient. If you upgrade it you lose the gold gen.

Do you know what avarice means, it's supposed to be about greedy gold.

It's supposed to give gold hungry carries (who are often buyers of Ghostblade or Shiv) a head start.

It's a holdover from when the items that gave actual gold generation were super-important and not limited to supports.

i think your confusing draven with jinx and its 800 gold that's built into if you give it MS or CD then those will have to carry over which means more ms to shiv and yomuus active as well as cd and its only the crit that carry over the gold income does not i would like after you build it into yomuus or shiv you get a cash out but over all its my go to first item for adcs and crit melees
