Reminder than even Volibear is a better top than Nautilus and Veigar a better support

Right now, Nautilus is objectively the worst or second worst champion in very single of his 3 roles, toplane, jungle and support, sporting laughable winrate (with only ryze having lower winrate than him) combined with extremely low pickrate (toplane 0,71% for 45% winrate). The only place he's doing well is in proplay, both because of better tanks often being picked and banned and because he still offer decent pick potential that a pro team can take advantage off. His extremely low mana regen tuning, lack of counterplay potential and terrible clear speed make both unsatisfying and unsuccessful in soloq however. There seem to be a real misconception about him in the community, so if you disagree, I would advise to please look at the stats and maybe fire off a gmae with him. In particular, try to compare him with tanks such as zac, maokai or sejuani in both laning phase, jungle clear and teamfight potential.

His damage and survivability are fine, its his mana thats the issue with him right now. The reason he's good however, is his ability to turn his lane into a gank zone for any snowball jungler. VOlibear has a much harder time with that, and while voli might be able to trade better with most top laners, I'd rather pick nautilus for the late game beef, hard engage, and overall safety.

Also, he's a comfort pick.

After looking at your OP.GG really I think your performance has a lot to do with your opinion on him.

Nautilus' winrates in the lower elos look very slightly below average, apart from Bronze where actually he has a positive winrate. His winrates in Plat + are a lot lower, but remember that the lower elos account for the vast majority of players, so you shouldn't judge a champ's effectiveness through high elo winrates alone. He's a simple champion, just like Garen, who's winrate also falls off at higher elos. Always gather all the necessary information when attempting to make a point otherwise you'll end up looking silly.
