(+Vote) Which one is your favorite meta ?
+1 so everyone see and vote
+1 so everyone see and vote
Why isn't there an option for "neither?" Neither is good but for different reasons. Censor meta was boring and over-reliant on a certain type of ADC and support, and the game currently has too much damage in general and burst in particular. This poll is like trying to determine if dogs or cats are better pets by asking if people prefer stepping in dog shit barefoot or waking up with cat piss on your pillow: Both options suck and people generally agree on that.
I'm hoping for what's to come with all the subtle moves Riot has been making to tone down damage and help out a few tanks while also laying out a plan to address damage more thoroughly in the preseason. That'll likely be a much better meta than either one in the poll.
started season 1 and i say
top: season 5 jung: season 5 adc: season 5 support: season 5 mid: season 7
tank meta's are good cause they enable all other roles to be useful just aslong as it doesnt fucking involve twitch/kog/varus/kaisa/janna/lulu which makes everything useless
I prefer cinderhulk balance patch meta. Too bad juggernaut patch ruined it.
tank meta
with more tanks in low tier than high and the majority of meta picks in top/jungle/supp being non tanks
okay
This is fundamentally a skewed poll.
You can still play assassins in a non-assassin meta. You are still impactful.
If you pick a champ that needs 2 items to be relevant in season 8, you might as well be inting. You will probably never have any meaningful impact on your game.
I Personally prefer...
Top Lane V8.15 Jungle V7.17 Mid V7.17 Bot Lane V7.17 & V8.15 Support V7.17
###Get's triggered by the fact that Varus ###isn't mentioned in bot lane for both patch V7.17 and V8.15.
Tbh you probs shoulda split it like this:
Tank/mage (s5) Assassin/adc (s 7, 8, 3) Diver/smirmisher (s4) Adc (s6)
A little bit of everything (s5 post cinderhulk sej nerfs).
Smashing everything into those 2 categories isn't accurate at all and this would be a better representation. Personally I'd pick my final suggestion. Because the meta is flexible af and I can play my favourite champs anywhere. I can peel those assassins and enable my carries to kill the pesky vayne that's shredding my girthy health bar.
I had to vote for the right, because unfortunately with the tank meta Nocturne is deleted from the game.
Whichever meta season 3 was
Nidalee 1 shot javelin meta.
Both of these metas are bad, for different reasons. Ignoring items / runes /etc, 7.17 was terrible in terms of bot and top champions while 8.15 has an incredibly obnoxious pool of jungle and midlane champs, with a few nasty tops as well. Including items and runes, 7.17 was Ardent Hell and 8.15 is the land of getting 100-0'd by half the roster.
Can't say I like any of these. I think my favorite meta was after ardent meta, but before huge adc nerf. In soloQ it was around March, not sure what meta took place there.
I mean at least there were a few S teir champs that can be banned out like Jayce or Sej and you would know that nobody else would be insanely good, now there are way too many good picks and if you dont play the OP shit you will be stomped
And adcs could be countered by CC or assassins and tanks could be countered by pen, now its just who can oneshot the other faster or who can have the tankier stats so they can 1 v 5 (
)
What a coincidence that in assassin/fighter meta there more champions viable. Almost like tanks force adc to play hyper carries, fighters to play anti tanks and mages to play utility.
Rengar being beastly in the top lane is nice, I never want to see ranged top laner a meta
Wasn't 7.17 still in the Ardent Meta which was universally hated here? You know, the time everyone complained that Janna existed? Funny how quickly everyone outgrew it despite it in its prime being more universally hated than release Zoe.
It's fun to see aurelion sol doing good in both meta.
I really liked when funneling was strong
Interesting how ahri was considered to have hard mechanics in season 7 and in season 8 she became average.
Tank- as a tank sup (mostly Leo and Thresh)
Not for the reason you think though.
I mean look at all those DELICIOUS SQUISHY TARGETS for me botlane in a tank meta. Ahahahaha!
llica
on left its all but tank meta... just saying.
Lol, my girl Annie and my boy Veigar don’t even make the list.
Also how exactly is Sona S tier in this meta? She was great in Censor meta but she sucks right now. Super low HP, low resistances, her mana costs are high and her abilities barely do anything early game. She was strong with klepto in the beginning of the season so Riot gutted her. Then they nerfed all her runes. Then they nerfed the tear she liked to build for mana sustain. She actually feels absolutely awful to play until you get 3 items on a support salary, if your game even lasts that long. Her poke is completely irrelevant in lane, which was like the whole thing she did, so you may as well be a 300g caster minion until 15 minutes. Really wish Riot would look into her but everyone knows Riot sort of hates Sona as a champion so I guess we just keep waiting for the VGU.
Neither.
This is the meta I would like to see;
Tanks have more damage resistance and less damage ADCs have more sustained damage and DPS Assassins have more burst for eliminating squishy targets Supports have more utility for keeping ADC alive and CCing targets Bruisers have less tankiness but more sustain
I call it the balanced meta.
I only chose the right for the simple fact that there's a lot more diversity I don't like metas where theres 1-2 goldly champions for each class, making it impossible for other champions to thrive In metas like on the right theres more even numbers, allowing you more picks
There is no mages meta?
I can't pick one because these tier lists are hilariously wrong outside of bot lane for both patches. Like take jungle for example, the S tier picks are just wrong, Rammus hasn't been S tier in forever, he hasn't gotten changes that would make him S tier. Sej wasn't S tier late last year at all, and right now she is really good and isn't even B tier? What the hell are these lists lol. Why is Morde a S tier pick, in what world is he S tier lmao!!!
s6 before assasin rework.(and before they gutted kindred)
I like the original Cinderhulk meta where team fights lasted for 20-30 seconds sometimes. But, you know, Riot decided that such things weren't to last.
Any META hit with Morello's nerf bat will do just fine for me.
You know what? There are over 100 champions in this game now... I don't think it's that important for every single one of them to be 'viable'. Maybe it was important back when there were fewer than 100 champions, but it's just not that important anymore. There are bigger priorities, like this 'rune' system that's so horrible I've not been able to say one good thing about it since it was conceived as an idea and announced to the player base except this: you can arrange your 'runes' in champion select. Whoop Dee Doo!
