Uhm. Riot? Uhhhhh. Can we not? Draven is a very strong ADC right now. He has one of the highest dmg outputs of any marksman. And hes getting buffed?.... I honestly cannot see why. Yes his play rate isnt the best, but hes ridiculous to deal with all throughout the game. And is kinda anti-fun tbh. You try to fight him? dead from one q Its frustrating.

So again, why the buffs. Some info on these would be great, thanks

He's not a extremely good adc right now, he's sitting at a 49% winrate.

That doesn't justify buffs though.

Ok sure but why12/10/2016, 12:03:42 AM5 votes

Well, he does get 105 base AD at 18, so it might be a late-game falloff.

The average Draven set-up is this:

item 3031 item 3046 item 3006 item 3072 item 3036 item 3139

He gets 8.5 bonus AD from runes.

At level 18 he has 105 base AD.

So this is 105 + 268.5 AD, for a total of 373.5 AD.

His current Q late game gives him 317.5 damage on his Q.

The new version will give him 282 damage on his Q. The base damage will bring this up to 332 damage.

Nerf late? On the contrary. It's a buff.

As for the level 1 difference, the current Q gives 32,6 damage. The new Q will give nearly 41 damage at level 1 with a Doran's blade.

It is a buff to every stage of the game.

Becuase Draaaaaaaaven.

This makes him not be able to actually use item 3053 Riot has my approval

early buff late game nerf

stop whining, draven is ostensibly one of the better designed ADCs

I don't think he should get both buffs but draven is not a good competitive pick at all. It takes a big investment to get really good at draven (not unlike lee sin) and even the good dravens don't pick him because he's weak. Draven is super predictable unlike most other adc. He is supposed to be the lane bully as a result but he's not really doing that right now.

(With just Doran's blade and no runes)

56 = base AD of Draven at level 1 105 = total AD of Draven at level 18

56 + 8 = 64 total AD 105 + 8 = 113 total AD 105 - 56 = 49 total AD growth from level 1-18

Old Q

Level 1: 64 x 1.45 = 92.8 (45%)

Level 18: 113 x 1.85 = 209.05 (85%)

New Q

Level 1: 64 + 30 + 0.65 x 8 = 99.2 (30 + 65% bonus)

Level 18: 113 + 50 + 1.05 x (8 + 49) = 222.85 (50 + 105% bonus)

Draven can get near 1k crits with fewer items. Something like an IE and just a BF sword. With the average full build its most likely 1.0k - 1.5k crits. So its comparable to persay season 4-5 when adc items had more ad on them.

because the preseason SEVERELY gimped draven. Draven use to love stacking armor pen early, but all armor pen was changed to lethality, so draven won't get the full effect of the old armor pen until lvl 8 or somewhere around there. That's a long ass time to play passive on draven. Not only that, but draven has been getting indirect nerfs for awhile now, starting with the nerf to item 3139 Draven is suppose to be a lane bully that snowballs early on as fast as possible.

It's more of an early buff with a very likely fall off late game unless you get at least three infernals or 2 + elixir of wrath. Both the increase and decrease aren't huge, but it's a numbers change nonetheless. I made a thread with all the math.
