Ya that is pretty frustrating. I wish riot would actually just tell us the criteria for the grades we get... like a rubric.
There are a ton of variables that go into a grade, one being your game stats compared the all of the other Rengar games played by people on your server (NA) so it's much harder to get a S on Rengar then it is on someone like Poppy. Also it accounts farm heavily so Z'Rot champs are easier to get higher ranks on then say jg champs. Furthermore, overall kill participation is key so if you have 20 kills in a game but you only have 40% kill par, you won't do as well as someone who only had 10 kills but has a 60% kill par.
And heck, it might be a grade error on Riots part. I got that before on a Vlad game I played and it was fixed. Don't feel afraid to send a support ticket and ask if the grade was an error. I have done that before, and in a day or two I got a response telling me what I need to do for a good grade and the grading sys. As a whole.

Just aim for 10+ kills, 0-1 deaths, couple assists and 160+ cs.
