Should there be one? If I’m playing adcs like MF or Sivir or Ashe and someone like Zed or Kha can just blow me up I can’t just go Zhonyas. Going thornmail or randy in’s sacrifices damage. Edge of night and mercurial doesn’t do much for assassins. At least put like something where it gives armor and AD. Like an AD version of seekers

Life steal along with attack speed should be enough. Guardian Angel is a very strong defensive item.
But you're gonna need a shit ton of gold to be able to defend yourself all the while able to do good damage.

Being dead sacrifices damage. If you are getting one shot by a Rengar every single fight, how do you think a thornmail or a randuin's would lower your damage? You do infinitely more damage when alive than when in a gray screen.
Ugh. I hate this mindset. Maybe, Kha, Talon, Zed and all other assassins 1 shoting Adc's doesn't mean that Adc's lack defensive options but that Assassins are way too overpowered? Not that I blame you for this mindset since Riot themselves have the same as you. They saw that Tanks were too powerfull and instead of nerfing them, they buffed ad/ap and true damage globaly.
Maybe get the two armor shards from your runes when you see more than one assassin/AD champ locked in on the enemy team?
On a squishy it isn’t going to help that much but it might do something. It does sacrifice some damage (depending on if your champ needs AS or not) but overall it might help you survive more if you also have a warden/enchanter as your support.
There shouldn't be one, however assassins annhiliating ADCs is a bit of an issue. Instead, we should address the core issue: the assassins themselves.
The cleanse should remove any slows and give you the movespeed necessary to outrun them
Should prevent them from bursting you down too fast
