Microplay is your individual plays. Your champion's mechanics, your dueling capability, being able to duck in and out of bushes in a skirmish, animation canceling or aiming your skill-shots.

Macroplays are your decisions made for your team, your ability to rotate to other lanes to gank or thwart a gank. It includes your ability to set up wards and take advantage of them, and knowing when and which objectives to take. (Dragon, Baron, Towers, Inhibitors, etc.)

Someone good at microplays will be able to beat you 1 on 1, Someone good at macroplays will be the one taking baron/dragon/a tower because you're too busy fighting that 1 on 1 to stop them.

Yes, and people often think skill = micro, but actually it is skill = macro.
