Broken vs Strong Champions

We can all get mad at the fact that their are some very strong champs in the game but the truth of it is that they make this game fun for us casual gamers and spice the competative game up. But how can a champ be "Broken"? In my opinion a champ with minimal counter play and will always have the potential to assassinate you no matter what is "Broken". Some champs like Lucian and Yasuo are what are called strong picks. The difference between broken and strong is that strong champions still have counter play and do require some sort of effort and skill before becoming a fed monster. Broken champs like Yoric and Volibear have minimal to no counter play and are strong no matter what happens in lane. Riot as a company should definitively look at the difference whenever they decide to nerf or buff a champ. That will make this game much more enjoyable.

Volibear has counterplay. you can kite him forever and there's nothing he can do about it. it's a pretty simple bit of counterplay too, you don't have to do anything different than you'd be doing normally.

the game doesnt just exist in the lane phase.

yorick and voli might always be strong in lane, but they either have a lot of counterplay outside the lane phase and in teamfights, or in yoricks case are heavily dependent on their team.

if your adc is underfarmed and underleveled, then the ghost of your adc is weak, and you wont have much impact on a fight.

also while yorick is a supreme lane bully, and can push you out of lane and outfarm you, he has very little kill potential. its almost impossible to really snowball on him, even in a favourable matchup. the most you usually do on him is force the other guy to recall, and lose out on a minion wave or 2.
